Because of the delay of the Special Report, the last State of the Game episode on Thursday, September 15th was a bit longer than usual and as previously promised fully packed with new information regarding upcoming Update 1.

The developers mainly talked about the time it needs to kill an enemy, the difficulty scaling and also introduced a new feature called World Tiers.

We are not only talking about tweaking a few numbers, but more about a complete overhaul of how these systems and those who are surrounding them will work together in the future.

Because of these issues in scaling, the balancing is also negatively affected and almost out of control, making it much harder to kill enemies on higher difficulties on the one hand, and reducing the time a player is able to survive in scenarios because of the vastly increased damage of NPCs on the other one.

All the aforementioned problems have an impact on the whole game world in The Division. Therefore it makes sense to tackle the root of all those issues by introducing a new feature called World Tiers.

You decide on your own whether you want to experience challenging content, or simply steamroll enemies on a lower Tier. Here is a comparison between the Time to Kill in game version 1.

The difficulty itself will only be affecting the type of enemies you will encounter, speaking about Normal, Veteran and Elite NPCs as well as the amount of loot that drops — more about this later.

I feel like a good place to be would be on that sniper tower near the entrance to the 4hm courtyard place. It's kinda hard for rc cars to climb up ladders.

They're turning Caduceus into another generic AR with a custom skin. Otherwise it's okay. I won't call it great, because imo there's quite a few changes here that should have been done sooner.

So I have just the PTS version on drive right now, will it be possible to start a download of the stable version and copy over the files from the PTS folder, then verify?

I think the Special Equipment vendor in the Terminal place right outside the Underground counts as a Pheonix Credit Vendor since you need them to buy anything from him.

Not sure I understand this??? What am I missing? With the Ballistic Shield finally being fixed, why do they have to nerf the x?

It was the only pistol that was viable in PvP. I haven't played since they nerfed crafting. So what is going to be the fastest way for me to farm Underground now?

I was doing quick Hard runs but idk how the difficulty is scaled now. So as someone who had a blast getting to level 30 but got annoyed with the grind.

Is it worth jumping back in even if I don't go all swaggticianRektankLevel? The changes overall far as I can tell has completely, or very very close to completely, destroyed the swagtitian builds of the past :p.

Or is stock the same for all post 30 players? Just trying to figure some things out for future posts and the patch notes don't answer these questions outright from what I can see.

I read through the patch notes and didn't see it but considering how long they are I may have missed it. I haven't played in a while, but I will absolutely come back.

It's nice to see honest effort from devs in any game. This takes me back to when a couple patches this size a year were released for guild wars. Good on you, and you've earned back a fan.

Is this a new DLC? I bought the season pass but this sounds like bug fixing mostly and not new content. Am I reading right?

Free update. This is basically rebooting the game. The second dlc, survival doesnt have a release date yet. The more I read about the world tiers and revamped loot system, the more I like it.

This is the sort of progression that should've been in the endgame from the start. It's too bad that 1.

Haven't played this game since 2 months after release never even actually finish the game. Definitely will give it try now just to see what's up.

Might have been on PS4. Another thing that's mentioned in the patch notes is "Deconstruct from stash". This has also always been available on PS4.

Going to be interesting when the patch hits as I'm going to be completely nerfed. I run a 3 piece Firecrest and two piece Blind gearset so I'm stuffed.

On the bright side - I have a shedload of gear and guns so I should be able to cobble together something reasonable.

This sounds like a great patch note. Talking about sounds: what about the spatial audio isssue where footsteps of other players in front will be cast from behind?

Will they be scaled with the world tier? Fixed a bug where the character and background would turn dark while trying to browse the appearance tab in the inventory.

Since I am on console, I have no idea on how I feel about all these changes yet. I know a lot of praise came from various people, but it's better we try ourselves first.

If they are still overpowered with this build then I am done, since too many of my friends went back to Destiny and now BF1.

Will take some serious explaining if I want them to rejoin. Will try a few games between my BF1 MP games. I haven't played since the falcon lost first incursion was about to release, and this is insane!

Locked items cannot be sold, shared or dismantled. Players can now recover items they have accidentally sold. Added Quick Nav option to vendors and menus allowing players to quickly select item types they want to display.

Weapon skins no longer take inventory space. Equipped items are now always displayed at the top of the inventory list. Crafting materials can now be converted in bulk at the Crafting Station.

Players can now deconstruct items from the Stash. Players now have an option to find a better server if they are currently on one that is not their best option.

They can do so from the Group Management menu. Players are no longer able to open their inventory while under status effect. Recalibration bench now opens instantly instead of waiting for watch tapping animation.

Many improvements were made to enemy AI. When matchmaking the game will now attempt to refill empty slots if the group privacy allows it.

Accuracy will now be lowered for a short duration after performing a combat roll. Added a delay between leaving a group and signing up for matchmaking.

Weapon magazines are now refilled when restocking from an ammo crate. The crafting material drops from the Base of Operations will now reward High-End quality after level Removed scavenging from the game.

Scavenging is removed as a secondary stat on all gear pieces. New gear pieces can no longer roll scavenging. The Map indicator for Rogue players now increases in size the closer they are to the player.

Shotgunner NPCs: their damage falloff and accuracy have been slightly reduced. This should limit their range and lower their lethality in long to mid-range combat.

Player health will now progressively regenerate to full when out of combat. Removed Gear Set Weighting from all activities except Incursions.

Any Gear Set can now drop from any activity. Weekly and Daily assignment loot caches now drop items scaled with the players current gear score.

Added Field Proficiency: Players can now gain experience past level 30 and earn loot caches. Updated Vendor Stocks: Items quality will adapt better to the player level during the 1 to 30 progression.

Vendors now sell items Gear Score to as soon as the players reaches level Added more High End items for sale in all currencies.

Marksman Rifles, ARs and Shotgun prices have been lowered. Gear Set items now cost as much as a high end gear piece, resulting in a large price reduction.

Item prices in DZ Funds have been adjusted. It's up to Division agents to hunt down Keener and put an end to the occupation.

Eben veröffentlichte Massive die kompletten Patch-Hinweise, welche einen ganz schön erschlagen Es sind knapp Wörter. Für die, die es nicht im Hinterkopf, bzw. Bei dem meisten geb ich dir uneingeschränkt recht. Und wir alle wissen, wie viel Zeit und Aufwand das in Anspruch nimmt.

Fixed a bug where the third bonus from High End weapon mods would not show when the mod is attached to a weapon. Fixed a bug where the World Level Tier tutorial would show up every time the player would enter the Terminal.

As someone who hasn't played since 1. This looks really promising. Will give it a try tomorrow and maybe start a new save!

I haven't really played since Never did an Incursion and always felt like a liability in Challenge mode missions. Lack of progression options led to lack of interest, led to me almost uninstalling completely.

I'm really looking forward to trying this out, I may be able to get better gear on my own before trying to group up with others for harder content.

They are trying to bring a new player base. You definitely can. Since you can choose a specific world tier to decide what gear score you're going to try for, you get relevant drops a lot more often; since some specific activities now guarantee specific types of drops like gear set pieces or weapons you can somewhat target your activities towards what you want an upgrade for; and since gear set pieces and HEs can drop off anything, you'll get those "oh hey, sweet!

That's definitely my opinion from playing on PTR. I'm excited to start doing those activities on live with even more people in the queue too. That may entice a few more players.

Not everyone can afford to spend the money for AAA games at launch day. But the keyword here is "positive word-of-mouth". I'm totally starting a new save.

The game seems to be almost completely different. It'll be fun to have another fresh start and learn what the game is like now!

I do have to question however, was the decrease increased by 7. This is how massive writes code. Don't worry, they'll definitely get it right during patch Holy mother of Agents!

Stopped playing a couple of weeks or so after the first DLC and reading about these changed definitely makes me wanna come back and try it out.

If you keeps this up you'll totally have done a Diablo 3! Let's just hope, they just need to fix PvP so it doesn't interfere with the PvE aspect of the game or continue being the reason for nerfed gear sets.

And that is a good thing. Can't imagine one shot shield bash crusaders being a thing if pvp was forced into the game without normalization.

Diablo 3 does have pvp, just not matchmade pvp. Though you could leave your game open and let people join you and do it that way but I don't think it would be much fun with modders on the loose.

Technically D3 does have PvP, it's just never used Talk to the burly looking bloke, bottom left in Sanctuary , because the first person to deal damage wins.

There's a lot left to do, but this is the massive overhaul that the game needed for them to be able to do any of the rest. I'm pretty excited that they'll be able to get other stuff done now, like fixing named weapons for example.

This is nothing short of awesome. Of course it'll take me a month to figure out the full affect of all the changes but I can't express how exciting this looks.

A few more fixes to Ballistic Shield as well as increased chance for high quality drops from randomed NPCs in Underground.

You can find the two changes in the "Today" section of the last State of the Game article. But W4 patch was not bad so it's still worth being played.

To be honest Lone Star has always been great but I think people dismissed it because it was dropping too much and didn't bother trying it.

What does it mean by holstered? Can I just switch between weapon 1 and 2 and not need to reload or do they mean when walking into safezones?

Holy cow that makes me want to run dual LMGs. It still restocks from your inventoried ammo pool right? If you could have right I'd go with AlphaBridge too.

It's pretty awesome if you get good talents, and got the of your weapons would effectively have the same six talents.

The memories. Didn't see anything on the DZ06 glitch underneath extraction area where all the bitches run after they go manhunt and throw up Ballistic shield so no one else can enter inside the wall and allow their timer to run off?

Maybe I missed them listed here? Few concerns Robust talent is a poor choice at such a low percent. Why is initial bullet stability still a thing for deadeye when used supposed to have been rolled into accuracy, its only good for bolt actions really?

Why is g36 being hated on still? And is l86 VB increased or decreased? All ammo refresh every 30 seconds for rogues is very generous, guess some devs obviously love playing rogue and so keep pushing for it to be overpowered.

Tactician is now essentially useless. Holy shit. Patch notes is an understatement. I haven't played the game in months but this is impressive!

I could understand the kind of playstyle they were tryign to promote with the previous 4-piece bonus of this set but I just don't understand this.

Perhaps you are supposed to use it in a very large arena where targets are very far away while allowing you to deal consistent adequate damage by not having to worry about headshots but this is very situational due to the size of many fighting areas.

I feel like this is going to be the new nomad. We will see how this plays out I guess. I can understand the change in explosive round from a PVP standpoint because getting continuously staggered by 4 guns with explosive rounds is insane in PVP.

However, from a PVE standpoint, I don't understand it. What is the point of having special ammo if they are not Incendiary rounds' primary job was to apply the "on fire" status effect while dealing damage over time.

The explosive rounds staggered your targets while doing an extra percentage of your damage with proc. What is the point of using them if they no longer add anything significant to the game?

This will not only be bad for special ammo, it will be bad for reclaimer as well. I don't mean to sound like a negative Nancy.

I like a lot of the changes being put forth here and If I were to give Massive a pat on the back for each change I like, I may have to write a short book.

Great patch, Massive. Best of luck. So tacticians authority is still absolutely worthless?? You have to hit bullets to get the full bonus which is too low now anyway , only to have it disappear in a stupid short time.

If Explosive and fire rounds no longer apply Status effects then Are they Completely useless? I suppose they'll just do bonus damage now. Which leads me to wonder--why not just reclassify them into one type of ammo--special; and get rid of the labels?

So I don't completely understand the changes to the 4HM cover spot. With this change being made does that mean that you can no longer throw down an immunizer to avoid the RC cars?

It was a cheesy spot but now we need to find a good spot to fight in that area and be careful with the RC cars, just like in the alley in the first part of the incursion.
